The program starts at 8:30 AM and ends at 3:30 PM. The program will be held at Sacred Heart University and will run for 6 weeks throughout the summer. The students participate in academics, art and music classes, sports, swimming lessons, and weekly field trips. We require that our students attend the entire summer session. Students are expected to return to Horizons every summer through the summer after 8th grade.

Horizons at SHU is a tuition-free summer academic and enrichment program. Requirements for admission include:

• The student’s household must qualify for free or reduced-fee lunch under the federal guidelines
• The student must live in Bridgeport
• The student must attend one of the Catholic Academies of Bridgeport or a Bridgeport Public School
